In Africa, there’s no shortage of the innovation needed to tackle the challenges our planet faces – but there is a shortage of investment. That’s why The Earthshot Prize is here: to spotlight climate creativity and catalyse the opportunities needed for solutions to scale.
During Earthshot Week, we want to go beyond the Awards ceremony and shine a light on some of the other incredible solutions that we see across the continent.
The Sea Point Exhibition, set against Cape Town’s iconic Sea Wall, highlights the brilliance of some of Africa’s most innovative thinkers.

Focusing on areas that have the potential to make the biggest impact in Africa, including fashion circularity, e-mobility, humans and wildlife in reciprocity and solar powered storage – the exhibition reveals these innovators’ inspiring stories to a whole new audience.
From portraits to landscapes, each picture tells a unique story – and by scanning a QR code, visitors can discover photos on our Africa Innovates website.
