We are so excited to be in Boston, not only to celebrate the amazing 2022 Finalists, and of course announce this year’s five Winners, but also to highlight the city’s own incredible sustainability projects.
In the build-up to the Awards on Friday December 2nd, we’ll be out and about, working alongside the John F. Kennedy Foundation and our Host Committee Members to bring the Earthshot Prize to all Bostonians.
On our first night, we teamed up with Visit Boston and headed to the heart of the city to light up the iconic Emerson College campus building with a fantastic projection show.

On Tuesday we revealed our very own Twitter hashtag and used Boston as the launchpad to announce ourselves on TikTok – to an amazing reception!

Prince William and The Princess of Wales arrived in Boston and met with with Mayor Michelle Wu and Massachusetts Governor-Elect Maura Healey to light up City Hall in green, counting down to the Awards Ceremony on Friday.

The Prince and The Princess of Wales visited Boston Harbour, as 2021 Finalists Living Seawalls announced they will partner with the Stone Living Lab on an ecological restoration project on the harbour’s existing coastal seawalls to support the region’s climate resiliency efforts.
