Today, The Earthshot Prize announces NVIDIA as a new Founding Partner, bringing world-leading AI and technical expertise to help Earthshot Finalists develop and scale environmental solutions.
NVIDIA joins The Earthshot Prize with an immediate commitment to support Earthshot Finalists with free resources, technical support and accelerated computing power – advancing their capabilities to predict climate risk earlier, monitor nature, accelerate discoveries and optimise complex systems at scale. Founded by Prince William in 2020, The Earthshot Prize is the world’s most prestigious environmental award, designed to discover, accelerate and scale solutions to repair and regenerate the planet. It has five Earthshots; Protect and Restore Nature, Clean Our Air, Revive Our Oceans, Build a Waste-Free World and Fix Our Climate.
Each year, more than 400 expert nominators from across sectors and regions submit solutions aligned to the Earthshots, creating a global pipeline of nearly 7,000 solutions from 169 countries. Through a rigorous evaluation process, including review by an expert advisory panel, The Earthshot Prize selects 15 Finalists annually, and five Winners from each cohort receive £1 million to expand their impact. Since launch, The Earthshot Prize has supported 90 extraordinary Finalists, and by 2030 will have supported 150. Each year, five Winners receive £1 million to increase their impact, alongside global recognition and visibility.
Beyond the awards, The Earthshot Prize works with its Finalists to help them scale. Through tailored support, partnerships and access to funding, Finalists are connected with investors, corporates and policymakers who can accelerate their progress.
