With New York Climate Week and the 78th session of the UN General Assembly as our backdrop and source of inspiration, we once again teamed up with Bloomberg Philanthropies to host The Earthshot Prize Innovation Summit.
Returning for its second year, the event reunited our 2022 Finalists – some of whom took to the stage alongside forward-thinking business leaders, philanthropists and governments to spotlight their solutions and spark new environmental ideas.
And this year’s summit was of course extra special, as the incredible line-up of innovators making up our 2023 cohort of Finalists was revealed!

Where else to start than with the announcement of this year’s Finalists?
Chosen from over 1,300 nominations and representing six continents, we couldn’t have been more excited to reveal the fifteen solutions that are in contention to win the 2023 Earthshot Prize in Singapore in November.
On the first day of New York Climate Week, Earthshot Prize Founder and President, Prince William visited some of the volunteers behind the Billion Oyster Project – a group aiming to restore New York Harbour’s once-abundant oyster reefs.

Ahead of the 2023 Finalist Announcement, our 2022 Finalists and Winners were reunited at the Earthshot Ideas Hub, hosted by Bloomberg Philanthropies. There they met with global business, technology, environmental and government leaders to explore ways to further accelerate their solutions.

Presenter, Jack, then met our latest cohort of Finalists to understand how their innovative solutions should be a genuine source of optimism for us all.
