After a year of scouring the globe for the best solutions to help repair our planet, we had the honour and privilege to announce our incredible cohort of Earthshot Prize Finalists for 2022.
We were amazed by the positivity, excitement and support shown towards our finalists since the announcement – from all corners of the globe.

Prince William announced our 2022 Finalists on Instagram through a video in which he invites them all to a group chat. This video alone has been watched over 3.5 MILLION times.

It was fantastic to see news outlets from across the world pick up and share the announcement. It is going to take a global effort to tackle the environmental challenges our home planet is facing. So we appreciate the support in spreading our Finalist’s stories, far and wide.
From messages of support to words of advice. Our 2021 finalists were out in force to congratulate the finalist’s and highlight the hugely positive impact that The Earthshot Prize will have on their solutions.
On Twitter, we asked last year’s Winner of the ‘Protect and Restore Nature’ Earthshot from Costa Rica, Andrea Meza Murillo, if she had any advice for our Finalists and she did not disappoint!

In the evening of the announcement we were wowed, as the iconic huge screen at Piccadilly Lights in the heart of London was taken over by The Earthshot Prize to celebrate the announcement of our 2022 Finalists.
