How Earthshot Week 2024 in Cape Town will be our biggest yet

Hannah Jones, CEO Earthshot Prize, speaking at Earthshot+ Singapore 2023

The Earthshot Prize Awards is on the horizon – but before we find out who this year’s Winners are, we have a week full of inspiring, creative and action-packed events to get the world optimistic about the future.

From roundtables to youth programmes, exhibitions to the Awards itself, the week’s events are designed to inspire the next generation of Earthshot Winners and drive the conversation forward on funding solutions to scale.

For the first time, The Earthshot Prize is in Africa, where we’re seeing a vibrant climate creativity movement. This year alone, we’ve had 390 nominations for solutions based in Africa and 750 solutions whose work is having a positive impact in the continent. But we want to see that increase tenfold, which is why Earthshot Week is so important. The events of this week will inspire the climate leaders of tomorrow.

Read on to find out what’s happening at Earthshot Week 2024.

120 youth leaders from 38 African and 5 Asian countries will network and grow their communities so that they can go on to be the change-makers of tomorrow.

If you’re looking for tips and advice about making an impact in climate innovation, we’ll be sharing resources from some of these sessions in our new Earthshot Resource Hub launching next week.
